The most important movements in history have always been global. Climate change is an issue that affects everyone–it does not respect international borders. The only way we can tackle global problems is through global collaboration. The Green Summit recognises this reality, bringing together change-makers from across the world in the belief that, united, we have the collective imagination and innovation to implement real change.

Whilst acknowledging our interconnectedness, we cannot ignore the fact that some regions will be more heavily affected by the climate crisis than others.

This reality means that we need to ensure that everyone has a seat at the table so that our proposed solutions can be adapted to regional circumstances and implemented at the community level. Young people must be the drivers of this change. The duty to protect our planet belongs to all of us, but it is future generations who will live with the devastating effects of climate change. The Green Summit is an opportunity for youth from around the world to reimagine a more sustainable, just, and greener future.
